for our Wedding Weekend Ramble
to celebrate the occasion of our nuptials.
Departing Wimbledon Station at 11:30am on Sunday 21st August 2022
then crossing Wimbledon Common & Richmond Park

Departure:
We’ll rally outside the front entrance to Wimbledon Station from 11:30am for an 11:45 departure.
Partners, kids, dogs, friends all utterly welcome.

Dress code:
Summer ramble chic. Outlandish international country leisurewear is positively encouraged.

Terrain:
The walk itself isn’t too strenuous and there will be plenty of willing buggy-pushers and dog-chasers.

Latecomers:
If you miss the kick-off, head for Stag Lodge where we’ll cross from Wimbledon Common to Richmond Park around 1:30pm, and pause for our cheese-based picnic near Spankers Hill (oo-er missus).

Picnic:
If you are able to, do bring cheese / crackers / hipflasks & goodies.

Transport:
By Train: The ramble will set off from Wimbledon Station which is served by the District Line and overground services from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction and Hampton Court, among many other termini. Do please be aware that South Western Railways love to do a spot of weekend engineering, in August in particular, so it’s worth checking ahead. The ramble ends near Richmond Station which is also on the District Line and overground services to London Waterloo via Clapham Junction, or Teddington/Twickenham in the other direction.
By Car: Being a Wimbledon-to-Richmond rather than a circular adventure, if you’ve a car you may be best heading for Spankers Hill Car Park and joining just for the mid-section.
