Party

We would be delighted if you would join us
in a party to celebrate the occasion of our nuptials at
The Royal Tennis Court, Hampton Court Palace
on Saturday 20th August 2022
from 5:30pm for the 6pm arrival of the Bride & Groom
followed by drinks, canapés and dancing in the Royal Tennis Court garden.
Carriages at midnight.

Dress code:
Summer garden party chic. Dancing shoes essential (stilettos or wellies would be challenging…)

RSVP:
If you’re looking at this… we think you’re coming! Do please let us know if there’s any issue or advise of any dietary requirements to rathergoodparty@gmail.com

Gifts:
We are in advanced steps to buy a lovely house in Epsom to move into right after the wedding, so your help with furnishing it would be mighty welcome! We have set up a gift registry on the link below and will cherish any contribution you are able to make. https://prezola.com/wishlists/10262470/

Sunday ramble:
If you are set to be nearby on Sunday morning (21st August) we would be delighted if you’re able to join us on a wedding ramble through Richmond Park. We’ll be setting off from Wimbledon Station at 11:30am, and crossing Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park where we’ll stop for a leisurely picnic. More information at https://www.rathergoodfilm.co.uk/ramble. RSVP would be useful for numbers, but we won’t hold you to it – you can decide if hangovers permit! Kids/dogs/partners all utterly welcome.

Arrival: Please arrive through the Main Gate (and park if required)

1. Then head to the LEFT side of the Palace as you face it – onto Tennis Court Lane.

2. You’ll need to go through the security office to the left of the barrier (pictured below)

3. Then continue to the end of Tennis Court Lane where you should be met with some bubbles and encouraged towards the court.

Transport:
By Train: **Train Strike Alert** The RMT have proposed a train strike on Aug 20th and while we hope this will go away, fab if you can prepare alternative plans. We’ll update here when we know more… [Hampton Court Palace is a short walk across the Thames from Hampton Court Station: you definitely can’t miss it! Trains go direct every half hour from London Waterloo, and take 35mins via Clapham Junction and Wimbledon. Do please be aware that South Western Railways love to do a spot of weekend engineering, in August in particular, so it’s worth checking ahead.]
By Car: There is parking on-site at the palace. Just drive up to the main gate and once inside you’ll be directed to the car park on the left. We’d recommend heading to the furthest corner of the lower car park, nearest the palace. As the palace will be closing to tourists as we get going, there will be plenty of space, but you’ll need to pay at the machine before you exit.
By Taxi/Uber: Ask your driver to drop you off at Hampton Court Palace Main Gate, and the Palace security team will direct you to the Royal Tennis Court.

Visiting the Palace:
The palace and gardens will be open to tourists all day and are well worth a visit if you’ve never explored them before. Please just don’t get lost in the maze and miss the celebrations!
