First performed at the Hampstead Theatre, Sam Hoare’s anguishing stage play follows the true story of a woman who did not want to plead diminished responsibility in the case against her for killing her handicapped child. She wants to take responsibility for her actions, but is confronted by the people who care about her and the wider implications of her decision.
